Julie Saylor is no stranger to the microphone. A familiar face on the Central Florida music scene, Julie has been rocking stages from Daytona to Orlando for the better part of the last decade. Switching effortlessly between music genres, Julie has provided lead vocals for classic rock, funk, blues and modern rock bands, and is currently the frontwoman for Daytona Beach-based cover band Bad Apple. Her versatility and dependability, coupled with her dynamic vocal range has earned Julie a reputation among her peers as a consummate professional.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, music has been a major part of Julie’s life since childhood, starting with the children’s choir at her local church at age eight. Somewhat of a late bloomer to the live music scene, Julie spent most of her formative years performing with choral ensembles and music theater. After receiving an invitation to join a local cover band, she knew immediately that she had found her home. For the next few years Julie gained experience and momentum, performing in several states throughout the Midwest and Southeast, and even trying her hand at songwriting. Primarily influenced by classic rock, blues, and country, with just a bit of pop, Julie's diverse and eclectic style has been channeled into a delightful collection of original songs with infectious grooves, clever lyrics, and a "rise above" attitude that listeners will immediately identify with.
