James Crouch, is a Florida-based guitarist. His musical specialties are primarily rock and blues, and he has been performing this sort of music live for over four decades. However, his overall repertoire is rather diversified and includes folk, flamenco, metal, and progressive, all of which he has recorded in studios and performed before live audiences.
James has been playing in bands since 1981. His first paid/professional gig was when he was 14, in 1971. In the 80's James toured with the oldies acts, The Tokens and and The Dovells.
James has also had the honor of opening for countless legends of the music business, such as the Blue Oyster Cult, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Molly Hatchet, Rick Derringer, the Nighthawks, Jimmy Thackery, Brian Howe (formerly of Bad Company), Fran Cosmo (formerly of Boston), and Eddie Money,
Beyond that, he has also composed and recorded various types of music that are suitable for use in multimedia productions such as soundtracks. There are currently 121 songs on his Reverbnation page.
James has been an on-call recording artist and producer for Full Sail University for over 10 years. It is his duty as such, to have quality musicians available for both audio and video recordings, usually on very short notice.
He has also been teaching guitar for 40 years.
